This tutorial is for PSP 7 users. I don't know how PSP 8 and 9 work, but this tutorial might work for those both as well.

The first thing you do is click on the button that says 'New.' It should look like this:  After that all you need to do is fill out the stuff on the form that pops up. Fill it out just like the form below, but if you want a different color than black, you can pick whatever you want!

Ok, have that done? Now what you have to do is pretty simple. The blank banner will pop up and now all you need is some pictures to fill it in. Lets pick this picture, just as a starter-offer: Click Here. This will be the background. When you go to that page, right click the picture and press copy. Next, go to your PSP page and click Ctrl + V. This pastes the image into the canvas. It should be pasted as a new image, not in the banner, yet.

If you would like to resize the object to fit the banner the way you like it, press Shift + S, but I'm not going to do anything with it. Just Ctrl + C the picture, click the blank banner and press Ctrl + E. This pastes the picture into the blank banner. Now, you can rearrange it the way you like but make sure there are no black spaces on the edges. If this happens, just click the undo button and start over, resizeing it. It should look similar to this:

Now what you have to do is simple. Right click your mouse onto the banner and it will be pasted as 'set' on the banner. You have a background. Ok, now were on to the 'regular picture.' Click here for a starter one. Copy the image, then paste it into PSP. It should again come up as a seperate image. Next, click the laso button. It looks like this: Press the 'o' key on your keyboard to bring up the options table. It will look like this:

So you should have the feather set to 20. Alright, now that you have your second image, all you need to do is bring up the Arwen picture I gave you earlier and outline it, still with the laso. Something like this:

Those arrows wont be there, its just for referance. Anyways, when thats done, Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V to paste a whole new image. It should be faded a little tiny bit on the edges. Next, its WAY to big to fit on the banner, so you'll have to resize it. Press Shift + S and a thing will pop up. Put in 377 in the width slot. The other side will put in itself. Does it look like this?

Ok, good. Press OK and it will resize it. Now whats left to do is also very simple. Copy that picture into the banner by click the banner and pressing Ctrl + E. The picture will appear in the banner. Move it around where you want it and then right click. If you want text click the 'A' button and it will let you type in your text. You can change the colors and such. The finishing product should look somewhat like this:

Save

Click the banner, press F12 and the saving screen should come up. Either that or just click on the floopy disk button to save. Type in the name of your banner and click the Save As Type thing. Choose the JPEG - JFIF one. Then save.
